(Hapcheon=Yonhap News) Reporter Lee Jeong-hoon = At around 1:07 AM on the 13th, a fire broke out at a pig farm in Gaya-myeon, Hapcheon County, Gyeongnam Province. The fire destroyed one pig house, resulting in the death of 772 sows and piglets, and property damage estimated by the fire department at 344 million won. The fire department extinguished the fire at around 2:39 AM, 1 hour and 30 minutes after it started. Earlier, at around 7:44 PM on the previous day, a fire broke out at a cattle farm in Yongju-myeon, Hapcheon County. The fire burned the farm's management building, sawdust, and other materials, causing property damage estimated by the fire department at 99 million won, and was extinguished after 1 hour and 40 minutes.
