In Ukraine, a program to support the cultivation of domestic cotton has been launched, which provides for compensation to farmers at a rate of 10,000 UAH per hectare. This was announced by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Vitaliy Koval. From June 10 to July 10, farmers growing cotton in Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions can apply to "DAR" for the corresponding budget subsidy. Earlier, the program initiator, MP and deputy chairman of the agricultural committee Stepan Chernyavsky, accused Minister Koval of disrupting state cotton cultivation programs in Ukraine, as the relevant vote was failed in the Cabinet of Ministers. After this, the head of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy promised to return Chernyavsky's amendment on state support for cotton to the 2025 budget.
