The tractor protest called by Unió de Pagesos (UP) this Monday in protest against the government's management of livestock diseases has caused traffic jams of up to 7 kilometers in different points of the Transversal Axis of the C-25, which connects Lleida and Girona. Under the slogan "Let's collapse the Transversal Axis", about 350 tractors set out at around 09:00 hours from different points in Catalonia towards Cervera (Lleida) and Gurb (Girona), where a manifesto was read criticizing the government's lack of health foresight and the lack of control over the overpopulation of game animals. The slow-moving tractors caused traffic jams of up to seven kilometers on the C-25 towards Vic, in the sections Estaràs-Les Oluges, Sallent, Vilobí d'Onyar and between Espinelves and Arbúcies, according to the Catalan Traffic Service.
