The Brazilian machinery and equipment industry recorded a net revenue of R$ 25 billion in April. In comparative terms, this value represents a 2.5% increase over March and a 9% advance compared to the same month last year. In the year-to-date through April, there was a 13.4% growth over the same period last year. In the 12 months ending in April, the sector's net revenue accumulated a 0.9% increase. In the analysis discounting seasonal effects, the machinery and equipment sector's net revenue in April registered a 4.8% increase on the margin, which, according to the Brazilian Machinery and Equipment Industry Association (Abimaq), cancels out the 4.7% drop recorded in the previous month.
