The Peruvian coast has been affected by anomalous swells of moderate intensity that will last until April 20, reported the Peruvian Navy. Since Monday night, strong waves have been recorded, which have already forced the closure of at least 30 ports as a preventive measure. As explained by frigate captain Marco Bartens, this phenomenon originates from a low pressure in the South Pacific, which has generated intense winds that produce large swells advancing towards the Peruvian coast.
