About 450 dairy complexes are planned to be built and reconstructed in Belarus by 2027

In accordance with the instruction of the head of state, it is planned to build and reconstruct about 450 dairy farms by 2027 to transfer the entire dairy herd to modern housing technologies. This information was announced by Ivan Smilgin, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food - Director of the Department of Veterinary and Food Supervision, during a national seminar-meeting dedicated to the results of cattle herd reproduction and livestock production for 10 months, a BELTA correspondent reports. The seminar was held at a dairy farm for 2.4 thousand heads of Novopolessky-AGRO LLC, a Belaruskali farm. What is noteworthy in the context of the announced fact: dairy farming remains the main branch of animal husbandry in Belarus. Over the past few years, milk production has been steadily growing.
