The Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA) has recently announced a significant development in the poultry industry, with El Salvador opening its market to Brazilian chicken meat and eggs. This move, which is still pending the establishment of qualifying procedures for exporting units, is seen as a testament to the quality and health standards of Brazilian poultry products. El Salvador, a country with a population of 6.4 million and annual imports of over 22 thousand tons of chicken meat and 2.5 thousand tons of eggs, primarily from the United States and Guatemala, presents a new and promising market for Brazil. This development not only boosts Brazil's presence in Central America but also sets the stage for potential access to other markets in the region, marking a milestone as El Salvador becomes the first Central American country to sign a health certificate with Brazil.
