Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has revised upwards its economic growth projection for Indonesia in 2026, after the growth rate in 2025 was slightly above expectations at 5.1% from the previous 5%. In the newly released April 2026 edition of the Asian Development Outlook (ADO) released today, Friday (10/4/2026), the ADB estimates that Indonesia's economy could grow by 5.2% in 2026. This is higher than the projection in the December 2025 edition of the ADO, which was 5.1% for 2026. Nevertheless, in 2027, Indonesia's economic growth rate is expected to remain at the range of 5.2%. This is considering the economic disruptions due to the conflict in the Middle East and the ongoing trade uncertainties. The projection for Indonesia's economic growth is somewhat contrary to the projection for the Asia and Pacific region, which is expected to slow down to 5.1% in both 2026 and 2027.
