The hectares destined to the production of dehydrated alfalfa decrease by about 2,000 ha, while the rest of the forages destined to dehydration that are included within the association (vetch, fescue, Rai gras or forage oats), would increase by approximately 1,000 hectares . Although it is still too early to define the number of tons of dehydrated forage that can be produced in the 2021-22 season, since it depends to a large extent on the weather, we estimate that they would be at levels similar to or slightly lower than last season where the production amounted to 1,468,000 tons.
