The Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters in South Korea has reported an outbreak of African Swine Fever at a pig farm in Yangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, leading to the decision to cull all pigs on the farm. To prevent the spread of the disease, the headquarters has dispatched teams to the farm, initiated a temporary ban on the movement of workers and vehicles at livestock facilities in the area, and will conduct intensive disinfection. The headquarters is urging related organizations and local governments to implement strict quarantine measures and advising pig farms to take additional disinfection steps and follow basic quarantine rules.
