The Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters in South Korea held a meeting to review the situation and quarantine measures after African swine fever was confirmed at a pig farm in Yangju-si, Gyeonggi-do. This is the 11th case and the third outbreak in Gyeonggi-do this year. The headquarters is taking emergency quarantine measures and has dispatched teams to the site. A temporary standstill order has been issued for all workers and vehicles at livestock facilities in the outbreak area and surrounding cities. The headquarters is also conducting detailed inspections and clinical examinations on other pig farms. The pork supply is currently smooth, and the impact on the domestic pork supply and demand is expected to be small.
