The Sama Group, one of the world's largest organic honey exporters, had a sale of 585 tons of honey canceled due to the export tariff announced by Trump last Wednesday (9). Founded 28 years ago in Oeiras (PI), the Sama Group is responsible for purchasing production from over 12,000 micro and small honey producers in the Northeast, mainly from the states of Piauí, Ceará, Maranhão, and Bahia.
