Agricultural markets started this Tuesday with moderate movements, reflecting the combination of macroeconomic, geopolitical, and product-specific factors. According to TF Agroeconômica, the business environment continues to be marked by reduced liquidity, typical of the period close to Christmas, which increases the sensitivity of prices to external news. In wheat, contracts in Chicago opened with a slight increase, mainly supported by the devaluation of the dollar against the euro and the recent intensification of tensions between Russia and Ukraine, which go against ongoing diplomatic efforts. In the domestic market, prices remained stable in Paraná and showed appreciation in Rio Grande do Sul. Also noteworthy was the result of the wheat auction held by Conab, in which slightly less than half of the volume offered in the first lot was traded, while the second lot had even more limited participation, with average prices below the first.
