On June 2, 2021, the agricultural product prices in Vietnam saw changes with coffee prices increasing by 100-200 VND/kg in the Central Highlands, ranging from 33,500 to 34,700 VND/kg, while pepper prices were decreasing in various provinces, from 66,000 to 71,000 VND/kg. The coffee industry faces challenges due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on Portuguese coffee imports, despite the potential growth in the Portuguese instant coffee market. Meanwhile, Vietnam's pepper exports are expecting to face hurdles in the EU market due to the pandemic, though the promotion of vaccination and the EVFTA offer opportunities for growth. The situation in the Chinese market remains uncertain, but it is seen as a long-term potential market for Vietnamese pepper exports.
