On September 9, 2021, Vietnam saw a fluctuation in agricultural prices with coffee ranging from 38,900 VND/kg to 40,000 VND/kg, and pepper prices increasing from 76,500 VND/kg to 79,500 VND/kg. globally, coffee prices fell, with robusta coffee in London decreasing by 1.14% to $2,078 per tonne, and arabica coffee in New York decreasing by 1.93% to 190.2 US cents/lb. The UK's coffee consumption has increased from 70 million cups per day in 2008 to 95 million cups per day in 2018, with the boutique coffee segment showing resilience post-COVID-19. Meanwhile, Cambodia is poised to capitalize on the decrease in pepper production in Vietnam, Indonesia, and Malaysia by increasing its output, with Vietnam being its main buyer.
