Coffee and pepper prices in Vietnam are fluctuating between 39,200 - 40,200 VND/kg and 500 - 1,500 VND/kg respectively. Global coffee prices are on the rise, with Robusta coffee in London and arabica coffee in New York reaching $2,012/ton and 197.4 US cents/lb respectively. However, the domestic market turned around in August due to the uncontrolled Covid-19 epidemic, causing export congestion and production stagnation, leading to a decrease in pepper prices. The future trend of pepper prices in September 2021 will depend on Vietnam's ability to control the Covid-19 epidemic, especially in Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces.
