The Agricultural Quarantine department of the Ministry of Agriculture in Egypt has released the conditions for exporting citrus crops in 2025. Exports must be made from approved stations and farms, with a valid discount document and adherence to the countries' accreditation indicated in the document. Other conditions include stone examination, balance register, and international standard wooden pallets. For exports to China and the European Union, additional requirements such as farm visits and pesticide residue samples are necessary. From November 2023 to October 2024, Egypt's agricultural exports exceeded 7.1 million tons, generating around $4.1 billion, marking an increase of over $1 billion from the previous year. The exports included various crops such as citrus fruits, potatoes, onions, grapes, beans, and more.
