The Agricultural Research Center and Port Said Governorate have collaborated to launch an extension activity in the southern and eastern regions of Port Said, with a focus on cultivating crops that can withstand salinity. The project includes the cultivation of about 20 acres of field crops and germinated barley, and the planting of 12 acres of salinity and drought-tolerant wheat, half of which is the Half of Egypt 4 variety. Additionally, 3 acres each of barley and a new quinoa crop, along with clover seeds and jojoba seedlings, will be planted. The land preparation for cultivation is currently in progress, and a team of experts will oversee the project from planting to harvest.
