Saudi Arabia did not ban Egyptian strawberries and opened exports at the beginning of next month, clarifies the Ministry of Agriculture

Dr. Saad Moussa, supervisor of the Egyptian agricultural quarantine, confirmed that the decision of the Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture to stop receiving its imports of strawberry crops is an internal procedural and regulatory decision that concerns the Kingdom, and has been applied to most of the agricultural imports to it from all countries of the world, and that Egypt is not alone concerned with the decision. Moussa added that the Saudi decision is not a ban or rejection of strawberry shipments for quarantine or health reasons, but its content is to regulate the internal market in the Kingdom according to supply and demand data.
