Photo: Ronaldo SCHEMIDT / AFP The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries ordered the distribution of 18,383,836 tons of beef that will be exported to the United States this year, out of a total quota of 20,000 tons assigned by the US Department of Agriculture. The allocation, which follows parameters similar to those of the so-called "Hilton Quota" with the countries of the European Union (EU), was established in resolution 48/2023 published today in the Official Gazette. According to data from the Institute for the Promotion of Argentine Beef (Ipcva) from last December, the United States remained in 2022 as the fifth destination for Argentine bovine cuts with 19,804 tons, 3.2% of the total export share.
