Egypt follows up on the delivery of potato seeds to farmers in Alexandria

Major General Ashraf El-Sharkawy, head of the General Union of Producers and Exporters of Horticultural Crops affiliated to the Ministry of Agriculture, followed up on the delivery of potato seeds to farmers in the areas of their storage in refrigerators prepared for this purpose after their arrival at Egyptian ports and taking legal and agricultural measures after examining them and ensuring their safety before entering the stage of distributing them to farmers according to the rules adhered to. El-Sharkawy said: The union is selling potato seeds at 69.5 thousand pounds per ton, praising the efforts of the Minister of Agriculture, Alaa Farouk, who provided the necessary foreign currency to contract with shipments of potatoes coming to Egypt, thanks to the directives of the political leadership to stand by the Egyptian farmer to reach the highest productivity.
