To guarantee the operability and safety in the transport of guano from the islands during the year 2026, the Agrarian Rural Productive Development Program (Agro Rural) has begun the execution of the periodic maintenance of the tugboat "Guanay," a key vessel intended for towing barges that transport this natural fertilizer along the Peruvian coast. The work includes preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, and hull cleaning, aimed at optimizing the navigability conditions of the vessel, in order to ensure the timely supply of approximately 20,000 tons of island guano for family agriculture.
