Mexico: The start of raspberry season in Jalisco causes drops in prices

Raspberry production has begun in Jalisco, Mexico. Despite a dry season, quality remains high due to low rainfall and high temperatures. "We haven't had much rain, so the conditions have been favorable for the quality of the raspberries; it has also been hot because it hasn't rained," says Gerardo López, of Produce Lovers. Production will continue until the end of May or beginning of June. In terms of demand, raspberries are very popular, partly due to the limited availability of blueberries.
