Agropecuária Maragogipe, in Itaquiraí, Mato Grosso do Sul, is one of the most productive farms in Brazil and a model of intensive livestock farming with sustainability. The property's successful strategy is based on rigorous forage and nutritional planning, which uses integration, fertilization, and a high stocking rate to guarantee productivity in a closed-cycle system. In an interview with Giro do Boi, zootechnician Lucas Marques, operations director of Maragogipe, explains that forage planning is the basis of the farm's annual budget.
