The Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri) reported that, through the Agroperú Fund, it has delivered S/628 million in credits to thousands of small producers from the coast, highlands, and jungle. The largest credits granted through these funds were allocated to producers of beef, coffee, avocado, rice, cocoa, and others, primarily from the regions of Puno, Cajamarca, and San Martín. These credits allow agrarian producers (agricultural, livestock, and forestry) to finance their production campaigns and enhance them through the acquisition of machinery, inputs, among others. The financing mechanisms of the Agroperú Fund are delivered through the Agricultural Bank (Agrobanco), whose branches/offices are present in all regions of the country, benefiting individual and organized users.
