[Forest and Livestock News = Reporter Park Se-jun] An artificial intelligence (AI)-equipped forestry robot that can enhance forestry productivity has been developed and demonstrated, drawing attention. The National Institute of Forest Science under the Korea Forest Service held a "Demonstration of Timber Harvesting Work Using Remote Control and Autonomous Driving Technology for Forestry Robots" on the 2nd at the Forest Science Research Forest in Gwangneung, Seoul. This on-site demonstration was prepared to evaluate the field applicability and stability of an AI deep learning-based autonomous driving forestry robot developed through a disaster and disaster resolution research project in the forest sector, and to gather opinions from forestry experts from the Forest Service, academia, and industry.
