Aid to chestnut groves and apiaries due to forest fires in Galicia, Spain

The Official Gazette of Galicia (DOG) published on Friday its respective order from the Ministry of Rural Affairs calling for aid for the recovery of chestnut groves and to alleviate the production losses of beekeeping farms in municipalities affected by the forest fires that were produced in Galicia last year, for a total amount of 750,000 euros. Specifically, the contributions for the recovery of chestnut groves are endowed with a budget of 500,000 euros, which will go to compensate the damages caused by the fires registered in the month of July 2022. The application for this subsidy and the subsequent administrative procedures can be done through a collaborating entity that, in turn, will also carry out the field work and the works necessary for the execution of the eligible actions.
