Peruvian air exports of fresh or refrigerated asparagus start the year positively

(Agraria.pe) In January 2023, Peruvian exports by air reached 8,686 tons, showing an increase of +1.1% compared to what was dispatched in the same month of the previous year. This was reported by the Foreign Trade Society of Peru (ComexPerú), who indicated that, in the first month of this year, fruit and vegetable products led air shipments by our country. He explained that the main product exported by air by Peru in January 2023 was fresh or refrigerated asparagus with 4,166 tons, representing 48% of the total shipped by air (8,686 tons). In addition, shipments of this vegetable showed an increase of +24.1% compared to what was dispatched in January 2022. In second place are fresh or dried mangoes, with shipments of 2,542 tons in January of this year, registering a contraction of -10.3% compared to what was exported in January 2022.
