The article highlights the growth of the table grape industry in India, which began in the 1960s and has since expanded globally. The industry has faced challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic, issues with shipping companies, geopolitical tensions, and problems in the Red Sea, which increased transit time to Europe and affected grape export prices. Despite these challenges, India has remained a consistent and reliable supplier by improving cultivation practices, adopting quality standards, and investing in infrastructure. The industry has also seen success with the introduction of new product varieties. The article will be presented at the Macfrut Table Grape Symposium, a three-day event bringing together the entire supply chain and focusing on the symbolic product of table grapes.
