Albanian fruit and vegetables are growing by three figures in the beautiful country

In 2022, Albanian agricultural exports to the European Union reached a record of 473 million euros, according to what was declared by the Minister of Agriculture Frida Krifca, thanks to an increase of 15.6% in volume and 18.1% in value compared to 2021. The double-digit growth was achieved thanks to investments made in export infrastructure, such as those for storage and cold storage. Albania is highly dependent on its agricultural sector, which accounts for 20% of GDP, 40% of employment and 12% of total exports. Albania's strong investment potential is induced by the combination of various factors such as a favorable climate, proximity to European markets and low labor costs together with the high quality of the offer made by Albanian companies.Fruit and vegetables represent about 20% of Albanian agricultural production but contributes as much as 36% of exports.
