In 2024, the European Union saw a 10.9% increase in alcoholic beverage exports, reaching a value of €29.8 billion, as reported by Eurostat. Wine made up the majority of these exports, with a 56.2% share. France was the top exporter, followed by Italy and Spain, with the United States and the United Kingdom being the primary importers. The United States imported €4.9 billion worth of wine and €4.9 billion of spirits and liqueurs, while the United Kingdom imported mainly wine. Other significant importers included China, Canada, and Switzerland.
