Alert issued over possible presence of cereulide in formula milk from France in Spain

The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN) has warned this Wednesday of the possible presence of cereulide in batches of Babybio brand formula milk from France. The products involved are named Babybio Caprea 1, with batch numbers 899014 (expiry date July 28, 2027) and 911057 (September 17, 2027); and Babybio Optima 1, batch number 907179 (October 1, 2027). AESAN, which has been informed by the French health authorities through the European food alert network, has recommended that people who have these products at home refrain from consuming them. The information resulted from the company's self-monitoring, which reported the incident to the competent authorities in compliance with legislation to prevent the availability of unsafe food to the population, according to a statement.
