Although the tender nominally provided for 50,000 tonnes, the requirement to unload at only two ports — Mostaganem and/or Tenes — usually indicates relatively small volumes. Purchase prices, according to traders, were $263-264 per tonne C&F for deliveries to the port of Mostaganem and $270-271/t C&F for the port of Tenes. Some estimates indicate that the cost of wheat for Tenes could reach $273.5/t C&F. The wheat was purchased from any origin, but most likely from the Black Sea region and/or the European Union. Deliveries are to be made in several stages from December 2025 to February 2026 from major supply regions, including Europe.
