Algeria's Minister of Fisheries and Fishery Products reported a 2% increase in fishery output from January to November 2023, with a production of approximately 112,000 tons. The country currently has 42 marine aquaculture farms and 51 freshwater farms, with new ones added this year. Additionally, there has been an increase of 2.5 million cage-cultured fish this year, totaling 21.5 million.
