Andalusia has reached a record high in olive oil exports in the first nine months of 2022, with sales worth 2,481 million euros, an increase of 24.8% from the previous year. The community leads in 75% of Spain's olive oil exports, contributing a positive balance of 2,068 million to the community's trade balance. Seville continues to lead sales, but Almería sees the highest growth with a 56% increase. Over half of these sales were extra virgin olive oil. Seven out of eight provinces in Andalusia contribute to the international olive oil business, with Italy being the first international market and sales diversifying towards Asia.
