Morocco's inshell almond production rose to 120,075 tonnes in 2019, with the area dedicated to almond cultivation reaching 186,255 Ha in 2018. The country ranks fourth in global almond production, largely for domestic consumption, though it contributes minimally to exports. The leading producers are the United States, Spain, and Iran. Morocco's production is concentrated in the regions of Fez and Meknes, which account for nearly 30% of the national output.
