The latest Bord Bia sheepmeat price tracker shows a significant price gap between French and Irish lamb, with France having the highest price at €8.52/kg, followed by Spain at €7.88/kg and Ireland at €6.56/kg. The Irish price has decreased by 44c/kg from the previous year, and currently, it is lower than Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Except for France and Spain, the lamb prices in most countries have also decreased compared to the previous year. Bord Bia attributes the lower demand in key markets to inflation pressures.
