The Toribio Rodríguez de Mendoza National University of Amazonas (UNTRM), through the Genetics and Plant Genetic Improvement Program, in collaboration with the Agrarian Experimental Station Amazonas of the National Institute of Agrarian Innovation (INIA), has been executing the AMAROC project, an initiative aimed at strengthening the production and sustainability of rocoto cultivation in the region through the use of genomic tools and artificial intelligence. As part of this work, a socialization workshop was held with producers from Izcuchaca, where the objectives and methodology of the project were presented, and the exchange of knowledge between the technical team and the agricultural community was promoted. During the event, fruits and soil samples were collected, in addition to drone flights for the recording and analysis of the study area.
