Union Minister Amit Shah has launched 'White Revolution 2.0', a comprehensive initiative to empower women farmers and create job opportunities in India's dairy cooperative sector. The program focuses on four areas: empowering women farmers, enhancing local milk production, strengthening dairy infrastructure, and boosting dairy exports. It includes setting up and strengthening 1,00,000 new and existing district cooperative societies, providing interest-free cash credit to dairy farmers, and distributing micro-ATMs to dairy cooperative societies. The government aims to increase milk procurement by dairy cooperative societies by 50% over the next five years, potentially benefiting about 13 crore farmers across the country.
