Russia: Amur region began to export more soybeans

The Amur Region has increased its exports of soybeans and grains this year. Among the buyers are China, North and South Korea, Mongolia and Kazakhstan. During a visit to the Mikhailovsky district, Governor Vasily Orlov inspected the shipment of grain and soybeans for export from the Poyarkovsky elevator. In 2020, a berth for cargo ships was built here and a mixed cargo-and-passenger permanent border checkpoint was reconstructed, the press service of the Amur government reports. According to the regional Ministry of Agriculture, grain exports to foreign countries in 2023 increased several times. If last year 16,000 tons of grain were exported, then in just seven months of this year, the volume of exports amounted to about 69,000 tons. A significant increase is expected in soybean exports.
