An H5 avian influenza (AI) antigen was detected at a broiler duck farm in Bonghwang-myeon, Naju City, prompting swift initial preventive measures and full efforts to prevent further spread, according to authorities. The farm raises approximately 24,000 broiler ducks aged 42 days. During an inspection process before slaughter, a detailed examination by the Jeonnam Animal Hygiene Testing Institute on the 20th confirmed the presence of H5 avian influenza.
