The Councillor for Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development, Ramón Fernández-Pacheco, has assured that organic almond producers in Almería will receive aid for drought, within the specific measures promoted by the Junta de Andalucía to support the sector in the face of this climatic situation. According to a note from the Andalusian Government, the councillor recalled this Wednesday that these farmers can access the agri-environmental aids for dryland fruit trees in organic farming, included in the single application of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) 2025, with an endowment of 20 million euros for five years of commitment. They amount to four million euros annually that "go largely to the organic almond," he pointed out. The corresponding payments will be made in 2026.
