The National Union of the Animal Health Industry predicts a 3% growth in Brazil's animal health industry in 2023, increasing its value from R$ 10.5 billion to R$ 11 billion. This growth is largely due to the performance of ruminants, which constitute over half of the country's veterinary products market. However, the industry faced challenges in the previous year due to increased livestock farming input costs and a decrease in live cattle and milk prices. The industry was also affected by the cessation of foot-and-mouth disease vaccination in several states.
