Food safety and animal welfare are key aspects of Chile's protein industry. Growing demand, both locally and globally, has driven producers to optimize their processes to offer safer, higher-quality proteins by adopting sustainable and efficient strategies. Juan Carlos Domínguez, president of ChileCarne, the association that represents the country's white meat exporters, emphasizes: "Chilean pork and poultry are recognized for their quality worldwide. Producers and exporters apply a rigorous control and surveillance model that extends from their suppliers to the product's marketing. There are 11 programs that guarantee the traceability and quality of each cut, many of them developed in conjunction with the Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG), Chile's internationally recognized health authority."
