Another deficit crop. Cabbage producers are in a bind.

Prices offered for the purchase of white cabbage do not even cover the production costs, due to, among other things, large imports, putting white cabbage producers in a very difficult situation – it was warned in an address to the Ministry of Agriculture. Recently, we have written, among other things, about the problems of farmers growing sugar beets, potatoes, or peppers. In each of these cases, it is about the offered prices in purchases, causing, in extreme cases, the abandonment of harvests (to avoid incurring additional costs - without any guarantee of coverage), which has recently become very loud in Poland. The problems, as it turned out, also affect white cabbage producers, a crop with a long tradition in our country.
