The demand for greenhouse tomatoes in Ukraine has led to a significant price increase of about 20% average per kilogram this week, according to the EastFruit project. The market is predominantly reliant on imported tomatoes from Turkey, which are selling for 80-100 UAH/kg ($1.91-2.38/kg). The supply has been inadequate to meet demand, resulting in further price hikes. Despite the higher prices, demand for greenhouse tomatoes in Ukraine remains strong, driving expectations for further price increases.
