The head of the Meat Union in Tres Arroyos and delegate of the Buenos Aires Ministry of Labor, Néstor García, confirmed in a conversation with LU24 that three potential buyers have expressed interest in reactivating the Anselmo slaughterhouse, whose plant remains closed but is in condition to start operating immediately. “After a very difficult week, in which the bankruptcy of the slaughterhouse was requested and there were layoffs in other companies, today the situation has calmed down a bit. We continue managing and offering the plant, because we know that it is available for sale or lease,” explained García. The leader highlighted that the workers keep the facilities active, with current permits and authorizations. “The plant is closed, but active. There are people 24 hours a day taking care of the place to ensure it is in perfect condition when someone arrives to work.
