Isparta's apple exports have seen a significant increase, with a four-fold rise to 60 thousand tons this season compared to 2019. The city, which is one of Turkey's major apple regions, has a storage capacity of 440 thousand tons and currently holds 150 thousand tons of apples. These apples are marketed both domestically and internationally. The increase in apple exports is attributed to the record-breaking harvest of 900 thousand tons. The Isparta Chamber of Agriculture is advocating for the consumption of apples in hospitals, cafeterias, and military units due to their health benefits and is expressing the need for support in this regard.
