The Stavropol region in Russia has seen a significant increase in apple harvest, with over 74,000 tons harvested in 2022, which is 1.5 times more than the previous year. The total area for apple cultivation was 3.5 thousand hectares. Approximately 60% of the harvest is stored for off-season sale. The region has constructed two new fruit storage facilities, increasing the total capacity to 50,000 tons. The state provides support for the construction and modernization of agro-industrial complex facilities, including fruit storage facilities. Five investment projects have been selected for subsidization this year. The Stavropol Territory ranked among the top ten Russian regions for the gross harvest of fruits and berries.
