Since the start of the year, households in Ky Nam commune, Ha Tinh province, have been unable to fulfill bulk orders for apricot seedling due to insufficient supply. The demand is high as April, the best planting month, is approaching. The shortage is attributed to the time-consuming and limited production of seedlings, with only two crops per year. However, the profit margin is significant, with the selling price of seedlings increasing from 10-15,000 VND to 20-25,000 VND each. The apricot tree nursery in Ky Nam has been operational for over a decade and has become a profitable enterprise for local households. The commune plans to continue supporting the development of apricot cultivation, aiming to enhance income and economic growth.
